Fanad Head Lighthouse Sunset

November 30, 2018

Last Saturday my wife and I decided to drive to Fanad Head Lighthouse to hopefully get some pictures at sunset. We were not disappointed.

I took this first photograph of the lighthouse just has the light started to get good. You can see it starting to change orange and kiss the side of the lighthouse and the clouds in the picture.

About 10 minutes after this picture was taken the sky explode in vivid orange and yellow colour. This is the ruins of the old lookout post that is next to the lighthouse.

My wife Sharon is silhouetted in this photograph. It is of her taking a photo of the sunset.

On our way home we drove through the village of Ramelton and spotted the full moon rising over the horizon. We stopped to get a few pictures.  By the time I had set my tripod the moon had disappeared behind the clouds.

But I was still able to get this picture of the old warehouse with their reflection in the water and the moon light clouds in the background
